2026-10-22

  • BREAKING Removed prepaid credit packs from the public offer. The credit key that was issued had no redemption path, so the packs could not be consumed. Billing is now only the RapidAPI monthly plans (BASIC / PRO / ULTRA / MEGA) and x402 per-call payments.
  • Fixed The x402 facilitator URL. The configured value resolved to a 404 on /verify, so every x402 payment was rejected and no x402 revenue could be collected. The value is now normalised to the official mainnet endpoint https://api.cdp.coinbase.com/platform/v2/x402 in code, and the Worker variable must match.
  • Fixed The x402 server now settles the payment after verification, as the protocol requires, and returns the settlement in the PAYMENT-RESPONSE header. Previously the payment was verified but never settled.
  • Fixed Facilitator requests now carry x402Version; without it the facilitator rejected the call with "No facilitator registered for x402 version: undefined".
  • Changed The refund policy is now stated per billing path. RapidAPI subscriptions are refundable through RapidAPI support. x402 per-call payments are final once settled on-chain. A 402 response is never charged.
  • Changed Rate limits now match the published plan ladder (60 / 600 / 6,000 / 30,000 requests per minute) and the monthly quotas are expressed per month instead of per day.
  • Removed Prepaid credit packs. The credit key that was issued had no redemption path, so the packs could not be consumed. Billing is now the four RapidAPI monthly plans and x402 per-call payments only.
  • Fixed RapidAPI requests are identified by the API proxy secret, not by the subscriber key, which never reaches the origin. Tier detection uses the X-RapidAPI-Subscription header.

2026-10-15

  • Added paymentRequiredHeader to MCP payment_required errors so agents can sign an x402 payment without a second round trip.
  • Fixed PAYMENT-REQUIRED header encoding for non-ASCII service metadata (UTF-8 safe base64).
  • Changed Default x402 facilitator to the production Coinbase CDP endpoint https://api.cdp.coinbase.com/platform/v2/x402.
  • Added llms.txt and machine-readable agent onboarding.

2026-10-14

  • Added Derived signal poi_aliveness.json (open/closed probability 0-100 for 2,629,417 POIs).
  • Added Derived signal poi_chains.json (16,064 chain stores with prefecture coverage).
  • Added /api/v1/health with signal load status.
  • Added OpenAPI 3.0 specification at /api/v1/openapi including license, pricing, and refund policy extensions.

  • Added /api/v1/poi/municipality - POI counts by prefecture 16 categories.

Versioning policy

  • Backward-compatible additions (new fields, new endpoints, new optional query parameters) ship in place.
  • BREAKING changes (renamed or removed fields, changed types, new required parameters) ship as a new version with a 90-day overlap before the old version is sunset.
  • Deprecated endpoints return a Deprecation and Sunset header plus a successor link.
